Imphal, May 14 2021:
The curfew and lockdown imposed by the state government to curb the spread of Covid-19 has been affecting people from all walks of life, especially the farming community.
One such affected group is the food producers of Langathel village in Thoubal district, who have been left with no market to sell their produces such as bottle gourd (Khongdrum), pumpkin (mairen), watermelon, etc.
Many of the farmers have been left dejected and facing serious financial crisis today as all their hard works have gone to waste.
In this regard, Rural Development Organisation (RDO) Langathel president Pukh-rambam Boboy has drawn the attention of the authority concerned to provide assistance to the farmers and help prevent any further wastage.
