10th train arrives from Pune with 1033 on board

Jiribam, May 24 2020:
For the 10th time, a special Shramik train carrying 1033 Manipuri people arrived at Jiribam railway station from Pune at 10.50 am today.
The train left Pune railway station with 631 male passengers, 382 females and 20 children.
The entire process of sending the returnees to their respective districts completed at 3.50 pm.
On reaching Jiribam railway station, the passengers were served meal inside the train.
After serving meal, 93 passengers from Ukhrul district were screened first starting at around 11.26 am and they boarded the buses reserved for their district at 12.22 pm.
Subsequently, buses left Jiribam railway one after another carrying 147 passengers to Churachandpur and Pherzawl districts, 26 to Chandel and Pallel, 151 to Imphal East and Kamjong, 82 to Kangpokpi, 65 to Senapati and Noney, 36 to Kakching, 99 to Tamenglong, 64 to Bishnupur, 57 to Thoubal, 90 to Imphal West and 92 to Jiribam district.
As usual, the Jiribam DC, SP, CMO and local CSOs assisted in screening the passengers.
Like other people who came back earlier, all the people who returned today would remain in quarantine centres for 14 days.
One train each from Mumbai, Goa and Delhi are expected at Jiribam railway station tomorrow.
