PPCM to stage mass protest against economic blockade

Imphal, January 20 2017: Conglomerate of 27 different organ isation � Protection and Preservation Committee (PPCM), Manipur today said that it will organised a mass sit-in-protest in the heart of Khwairamband keithel in protest against the authority's inability to solve the UNC problem which gives tremendous hardship to the people of the state.

Till yesterday, advisor of AMUCO , Dr..YKhuman, was the convenor of the PPCM.

Devan today took charge as the convenor of the joint body of 27 organisations � PPCM.

Dr.Khuman handed over the charge of convenor to the AMUCO President.

Soon after resuming the charge at its office premises at Wahengleikai, Devan announced series of agitations to the negligence of the government (both center and state) to certain issues which kept live of the common people at stake.

"It is now 75 days that the UNC is ensuing economic blockade along the national Highway, however, except playing game no authority of both the centre and state government has ever tried to find any amicable solution", Ph Devan said He said that the PPCM is now all set to organise a public protest against the economic blockade and appealed the people to join the protest that will be staged in the heart of Khwairamband keithel tomorrow from 11 am to 3 pm.

The PPCM also appealed all shopkeepers and other business runners to stop their business for the day and join the protest.

Deva n further appealed both the Center and the state government authority to end the blockade and appealed them not to spew communal hatred among the various people of the state for their mere gain.
