Non-local succumbs

Thoubal, April 19 2021:
A non local man succumbed to COVID-19 at Thoubal District Hospital this evening.
The deceased (29 years old), a scrap collector was residing in a rented house near Thoubal Melaground.
He hailed from Lalkhandiar, Murshidabad district in West Bengal.
As per officials of Thoubal District Hospital, the deceased was found COVID-19 positive on Rapid Antigen Test after he showed symptoms of the disease.
The owner of the rent, where the deceased was residing, said that he (non-local) had disclosed to him that he had liver and other ailments and had examinations and treatments earlier.
In the meantime, the number of COVID-19 positive cases in Thoubal district has risen to 11.And surprisingly, two among them had already received two doses of Covid vaccine.
One is a CRPF personnel from Khongjom who had returned to Manipur from Delhi on an April 15 flight.
He was found positive of COVID-19 on Rapid Antigen Test at Thoubal District Hospital after he developed a fever.
It is said that he received his second dose of vaccine on March 18 while he was in North Delhi.
Meanwhile the other person is from Thoubal Mela Ground who works at Ahuja Hospital in Imphal.
The person (who got his first shot of vaccine on January 20 and second shot on February 17) underwent a test today after one of his/her co-workers was found positive, said family members of the person.
