Imphal, July 17 2012:
Clarifying that Thokchom Yumjaoba alias Albert (38) s/o Th Pari of Sekmaijin Maning Leikai who was arrested by a combined team of 18th AR and 27th AR without any clothes in the night of July 14 had snapped all connection with RPF/PLA since many years, the outfit has alleged that the Indian security forces are notorious in the world for their cruelty and arrogance.
Saying that Yumjaoba had retired to a normal, married life after leaving the party, the outfit remarked that handing over Yumjaoba to police with a gun in full combat dress whereas he was dragged from his bedroom by AR personnel in the nude is another case of excesses committed by the Indian military which was witnessed in Manipur many times earlier.
A press release issued by the outfit's department of publicity chief Taohangsu Heiremcha remarked that even if the people were fully aware of the conduct of the Indian military, they have been rendered helpless because the Indian military was backed fully by the State forces and the puppet political rulers.
Stating that pulling up and torturing retired revolutionary cadres in the dead of the night by security forces is not something new, the outfit asserted that all the former revolutionary cadres who had retired to civilian life are destined to endure similar experiences one day or the other.
There is no one in Manipur who can sleep peacefully even for a single night.
On the other hand, the puppet political leaders are not in a position to utter a single word when security forces loot properties and outrage chastity of women in the dead of night.
The case of a pregnant woman forced to deliver baby in open space in full view of security forces who were only laughing with contempt on July 11, 1987 during the Operation Blue Bird at Oinam village, Senapati district was reported anew in the media recently.
Another case which fully exposed savage brutality of the security forces was the case of Serou, 1998.The Indian security men hacked two kids of 7/8 years to death and they raped their mothers repeatedly before killing all the members of the two families who numbered six.
It was not enough, all the corpses were tied to boulders and they were thrown into Imphal river.
Such was the brutality of the Indian military, the outfit asserted while cautioning the people that they should never commit the folly of overlooking this sadistic side of the Indian military.
"The only means to save ourselves from the brutality of such savage force is to build up our collective strength," the outfit added.
