Imphal, April 03 2016:
BJP Manipur Pradesh has censured the dissension within Congress party as nothing but scrambling among Ministers and MLAs to pocket the maximum amount of money for themselves out of funds sanctioned by the Centre for different development programmes.
Speaking at a political conference held today at the Kwakeithel Lamdong Leikai residence of BJYM State unit president O Malesh, Chaoba reiterated that the State budget tabled by the Congress Government and passed by the Assembly has nothing for the welfare of people.
The bickering within Congress Government is nothing but a manifestation of the scrambling among Ministers and MLAs to pocket maximum amount of money for themselves.
Meanwhile, the State is going in reverse gear as far as development is concerned.
Whereas none of the Ministers have any intention to give up their Ministerial portfolios, the MLAs are restless to grab Ministerial berths.
Neither the MLAs nor the Ministers have any shame in taking their battle to the public sphere, Chaoba asserted.
Comparing Congress party to a sinking ship, Chaoba claimed that the Congress party would never return to power in the State.
Saying that the post of BJYM State unit president which is being held by O Malesh is a very important post in the organisational set up of the party, Chaoba appealed to all the voters of Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC to support Malesh.
He further appealed to the gathering to start election campaign for BJP in the Assembly segment rather than worrying about whether Malesh would get BJP ticket or not.
Ex-Minister N Mangi said that the Congress party which ruled the country for over 50 years is in total disarray today.
The 'mother-son' duo's dream of ruling India will never be fulfilled.
If Manipur should be developed, there should be a BJP Government in place of the Congress Government.
Malesh said that the incumbent MLA of Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC has been distributing PDS items only for four months in a year.
Asking where the remaining quantities of PDS items have been diverted, Malesh said that he would investigate the matter and expose all the wrongdoings.
