MI Khan's house attacked

Imphal, April 03 2011:
Private residence of rebel turned politician MI Khan was attacked by lobbying a hand grenade at Keirao Makting Makha Leikai under Irilbung police station in Imphal East district this morning.
The hand grenade having no detonator was found inside a dust-bin kept near the residential gate of MI Khan, the former Chairman of PULF.
MI Khan said that it was a political act guided by narrow outlook aimed at threatening his supporters.
The act of placing the hand grenade has been vehemently condemned by the local people of Keirao.
On the other hand, another hand grenade was found inside a furniture house located at Yaiskul Police Lane at about 10.30 this morning.
The hand grenade was found wrapped by polythene and put inside a pet bottle marked a Glucose.
Police have retrieved the grenade.
The furniture house belongs to one Salam Manglemba (39) of Kakching Khunou Thongam Awang Leikai.
The pet bottle also contained a piece of paper written as "MDF"and "All shops of Moirangkhom" .
Meanwhile, another bomb was found at the residential compound of one Kangabam Ramananda s/o Shamu Singh of Uripok Tourangbam Leikai this morning.
The bomb which was partially rusted had its pin removed.
It was found wrapped in a polythene.
Decrying the act of placing bombs in civilians areas, local people of Uripok Tourangbam Leikai staged a protest demonstration today.
The people of Uripok Tourangbam Leikai were aggrieved all the more as another bomb exploded just a few days back in their locality at the residence of one Sorokhaibam Khongnem.
