Imphal, May 22 2021:
After an NFSA rice rationing nominee failed to distribute adequate quantity of rice to the beneficiaries amidst the trying times of Covid-19 pandemic, the beneficiaries protested against the nominee on Saturday.
Speaking to media persons, a beneficiary alleged that NFSA nominee of Sekmaijin Khunou polling station 38/4 (B) under Hiyanglam AC Sanatombi failed to distribute adequate share of NFSA rice to the beneficiaries.
The nominee simply provided three kgs of rice to the beneficiary instead of five kg.
So, the beneficiaries protested against the nominee by not taking their rice share, the beneficiary informed, while adding that the distribution is being halted because of the protest.
Condemning the act of looting the public's share of the food grain during this troubled time, the beneficiary appealed to authorities concerned for ensuring distribution of the entitled NFSA food grains to the beneficiaries.
