Oxygen concentrators donated, edibles distributed

Imphal, May 19 2021:
In a bid to lessen the impact of scarcity of medical oxygen on the Covid-19 patients amid the increasing cases of infection in the state, Sagolband Bijoy Govinda Nupi Marup donated two oxygen concentrators to the CM's Covid-19 Relief Fund on Wednesday.
Members of Nupi Marup handed over the oxygen concentrators to CM N Biren at his secretariat office.
Former health minister and Keishamthong AC MLA L Jayantakumar also handed over two oxygen concentrators to Covid-19 Task Force, Keishamthong AC during a simple event held at Pishumthong Ningom Leikai community hall.
Meanwhile, under the initiative of Sekmai AC MLA Heikham Dingo, Sekmai AC Covid-19 Frontline Warrior Group distributed edible items to 300 families of the constituency staying in areas notified as virus zone.
As a part of National Programme Seva Hi Sangathan, MSME member Robin Blackie along with Lilong Imphal West Municipality Council former vice chairperson Omibala, ex-chairperson Ningthoujam Sorojini, BJP Langthabal Mandal president Maibam Joykumar, Hiyangthang GP Naran Konjin Ward no.9 member Thingam Sarat and members of BJP Langthabal mandal handed over edible items to Karam Youth Development Association, Karam Makha Leikai and a local club of Naran Konjin Mayai Leikai for further distribution to households in containment zone.
Also, 20-80 Saving Lup, Luwangshangbam distributed edible items to households declared as containment zone in Luwangshangbam and to Poirei Nawakon Home (Children home) located at Achanbigei while Khundrakpam Kendra Development Committee distributed edible items to virus-affected 10 households of Lamboi Khul, 21 households of Sawombung, 8 households of Waiton and 2 households of Awang Ngairangbam under the initiative of the local MLA Th Lokeshwar.
