Imphal, October 27 2015: Combined team of District Police Commando Thoubal and 2 Assam Rifles conducted frisking and checked in the general area of Thoubal Bazar and arrested one active member of PREPAK on October 24.In a statement, PRO Police Department RK Tutusana said the apprehendee was identified as one Ashem Sarat Singh (50) son of late A Nitni Singh of Thoubal Awang Leikai.

A case has been registered at Thoubal police Station and investigation is going on.

Meanwhile, a team of District Police Commando Imphal West conducted search operation in the general area of Masjid road, Paona Bazar on October 19 and nabbed one active member of KCP (MC) identified as one Harish alias Amuba (25) son of late Feroz of Kwakta, presently staying at Keirang Umang Leikai.

Investigation revealed that he was involved in extortion of money from businessmen, shopkeepers in Imphal area for raising party fund.

A case has been registered at City Police Station and investigation is going on.
