KSA decries

Kangleipak Students' Association (KSA) has sought immediate attention of the State Government as well as the SP of Bishnupur district regarding the detention of three volunteers of KSA Bishnupur district council and further urged the authority to refrain from harassing or inconveniencing the family members of the three individuals in the future.
Speaking to media persons at KSA office at Sega Road Konjeng Hazari Leikai today, its president Ningthoujam Chetan claimed that a team of Bishnupur district police led by SI Devjit, arrested three KSA volunteers from Bishnupur on January 7, at around 12.30 pm.
Condemning the act of arresting and detaining the volunteers at the police station without any reason, the KSA president demanded the authority concerned to suspend the involved SI with immediate effect.
He also condemned the continuous harassment and threats to the family members of the volunteers by calling them to the police station through phone calls.
Chetan claimed that the three KSA volunteers who were arrested by the police are all college students and appealed to the SP concerned to take up necessary measures to prevent any kind of disturbances to the lives of the students.
