Imphal, September 19 2019: The proprietor of Marina Spring packaged drinking water has clarified that the seizure of some of its 500 ml packaged drinking water bottles by Food Safety Authority of Manipur, is due to a mistake caused by a defect in the Reverse Osmosis Membrane during the treatment process.

Addressing a press meet held at Reliable Hydrotech (the factory where Marina Spring packaged drinking water is produced) today, proprietor Khagemba Sanabam asserted that the factory has always worked hard to earn perfection in every works related with the manufacturing of Marina Spring packaged drinking water.

Further stating that the factory never plans to earn money by cheating the public or through dishonest conduct, the proprietor claimed that the presence of suspended particles in some of the packaged drinking water bottles was due to a defect in the Reverse Osmosis Membrane of the manufacturing unit.

He also informed that the malfunctioning machine was replaced with a new system soon after its flaw was discovered.

Saying that small mistakes happen sometimes to all human beings and every establishments, he informed that the factory has always maintained correctional measures and systems for every kind of mistakes or errors in its procedures.

The factory has always been operating with the clear intention of serving the people of the State, he added.

With the factory learning lessons from every imperfections as well as embracing the suggestions and ideas from experts and well wishers, the factory has now been able to manufacture packaged drinking water which can be stored for many months, he added.

While welcoming any kind of inspection or assessment by any relevant authorities, Khagemba also appealed to all concerned to consider about the destruction a company or a factory has to suffer if small mistakes are portrayed as if they were large ones.

He then expressed disappointment on the way the mistake on the part of Marina Spring packaged drinking water, had been portrayed as that of dishonest practice.
