Lift restrictions on delivery at JNIMS: HERICOUN

As 3 doctors have already been placed under suspension in connection with death of a woman during child birth, Ethno Heritage Council (HERICOUN) has appealed to the authorities of JNIMS to lift the restriction on admission of delivery cases and treatment of other gynae related problems in the hospital.
Addressing media persons at its Palace Compound headoffice here today, Public Grievances Secretary of HERICOUN Surjitkumar Khuman oberbved that death of Ngagom Renubala (25) W/o Ng Nanao of Loushangkhong under Lamlai PS while giving birth at JNIMS Hospital on August 30, 2012 was unfortunate.
But restriction on admission of new delivery cases and treatment of gynae related problems at the hospital is even more unfortunate.
It is something unheard of any part of the world.
General Secretary of HERICOUN Islam Makakcha, who was also present during the press conference, urged the Chief Minister who is also the Chairman of JNIMS to investigate the incident so as to avoid avoid frequent clashes between doctors and patients.
