A National Integration Tour being organised by 40 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) as part of Operation Sadhabhavna was flagged off from Keithelmanbi garrison today by Brigadier MK Das, SM**, Commander 9 Sector Assam Rifles.
According to a statement issued by PRO IGAR (S), the 15 day-long tour comprises 22 students and two teachers from the remote areas of Manipur and shall visit all the important places of Chandigarh and Amritsar including The Rock Garden, Doll Museum, Sukhna Lake, Golden Temple, Jalianwala Bagh & Wagah Border.
The tour will also provide an opportunity to the students to interact with GOC-in-C Western Command and GOC, 15 Infantry Division.
While speaking on the occasion, Brig MK Das, SM** congratulated the selected children and exhorted them to gain valuable knowledge from the tour.
He also encouraged them to utilize the opportunity to discover the prospects that are available outside and to also imbibe the positive values of people from different states of India which shall empower them in their career and subsequent contribution to the growth and development of Manipur.
