Go to hill, equal development; all lip service, says TKL

Ukhrul, May 03 2018:
Talui Katamnao Long (Talui Students' Union) today strongly condemned the State Government for its inaction regarding shortage of lecturers at the Talui Higher Secondary Academy, Ukhrul.
Only 15 teachers are managing the classes in the school.
Five teachers were transferred out of the school with no replacement till date.
The school has no Chemistry and Mathematics teachers, the union said terming the transfer order 'rubbing salt into the wound' .
There has been no development despite several appeals made.
The union have also made an appeal to the Chief Minister in person on Meeyamgi Numit earlier, said the union in its statement.
Questioning the meaning of "Go to Hills" and Equal Development between the hill and the valley", the union asserted that the slogans are merely 'lip service' .
The union further appealed the Government to address the matter at the earliest and cautioned that it will take up various forms of agitation if the Government fails.
