Imphal, December 20 2015:
If one goes by official records, every consumer of BD Gas Agency, Chandel who booked for refills have been issued refills.
The distributor has around 4178 active consumers and its performance, as indicated by official records, has been rated excellent.
It is said that BD Gas Agency has been distributing 185.60 refills in a day on the average.
In a similar fashion, Rbd Indane Service, Imphal East has issued refills to all the consumers who made their bookings on December 18 or earlier.
However, as notified on December 16, the latest date when Rbd Indane Service distributed LPG refills, only consumers who made their bookings on September 28 and earlier were issued refills.
With the official records claiming that only 22 bookings remain to be cleared while there are only three pending applications for new LPG connection, Rbd Indane Service too has been rated excellent as far as its performance is concerned.
The distributor has around 12632 active consumers out of whom 11995 are DBTL consumers.
From April this year till date, the distributor has issued nine refills to one consumer, eight refills each to 12 consumers and seven refills each to 56 consumers.
Meanwhile, a press release issued by Rbd Indane Service clarified that the incompatibility in booking dates was caused by manual booking as bookings for new refills cannot be kept pending for more than 90 days.
Computerised booking is done using a software called 'Indsoft' and this software does not allow a booking to go pending for more than 90 days.
That was why the agency made manual bookings.
In case the computerised booking is made everyday in accordance with the convenience of consumers, accounts of all the consumers of Rbd Indane Service whose total number is around 14000 would get blocked and it would take at least one month to re-activate an account which has been blocked by the computer system.
At present, there is a backlog of 90 days and more.
Admitting that a few consumers have been issued more than the average number of refills, Rbd Indane Service appealed to all the consumers to come forward if they have any problem such as incompatibility in the figure of actual refills/subsidy amounts received and figures given in computer portals.
The date of booking is written clearly in the cash memo given at the time of issuing refills.
However, if one gets refill in December after he/she made the booking, the relevant website would give December as the period of booking.
Consumers may come to the office of Rbd Indane Service if they have any doubt/misgiving about the dates of booking as well as the total number of refills received by the agency from IOC, it added.
