Commandant 87 Bn CRPF felicitated

The commandant of 87 Bn CRPF Sunil Kumar was felicitated by the IGP Manipur and Nagaland sector CRPF for his dedicated service at time when the State was reeling under economic blockade which crippled supply of all essential commodities like ration, medicines, petrol and Diesel, cooking gas and all other commodities of immense importance to various part of the State.
Rajesh Kumar, IPS, IGP Manipur and Nagaland sector awarded DG's commendation disc, Manipur and commendation roll and certificate to Sunil Kumar while congratulating Kumar, on his noteworthy achievement.
The award was given to Sunil Kumar in recognition to his outstanding contribution to the State of Manipur and for his exemplary leadership qualities, said the Rajesh Kumar.

State administration, civil police and CRPF made well co-ordinated effort and after the closure of the extremely important NH-02 by agitators supply was materialized from Jiribam to Imphal with the initiatives of CRPF and civil police on NH-37 .
During the tumultuous period Sunil Kumar, Commandant 87 Bn CRPF played an exemplary role in running the convoy from Jiribam to Imphal and vice-versa, continuously for a period of approximately 4 months without any accident/ incident under testing conditions, said the Rajesh Kumar.
During the highly sensitive election of Manipur which was conducted in two- phases, Sunil Kumar was also given responsibilities of nodal officer for Nungba and Jiribam Assembly Constituencies.
He ensured meticulous planning for induction movement, settlement and timely de-induction of all the Central troops as well as State police contingents engaged in the challenging task.
This resulted in Free, Fair and incident free election in both ACs, said Rajesh Kumar congratulating the Commandant.
