Rs 40 lakhs siphoned off without executing PMGSY work

From time to time, incident of siphoning off fund without executing the concern projects have been reported in the state.
In yet another instance of such an incident, a special contractor has found to have withdrawn Rs 40 lakh for construction of a 16 km long road under the PMGSY by showing photographs of another newly completed work.
In a statement, ZU (AMN) alleged that Special Contractor Sh Hungyo living in Tribal Colony, Type II No 9 had fraudulently withdrawn Rs 40 lakh meant for the construction of Senapati-Oklong to Makuilongdi road under PMGSY Phase VII package No MNO642 .
It stated that Hungyo withdrew the amount without executing the project by showing some photographs of the 6 km long Tiizai to Makuilongdi Road.
Demanding immediate inquiry into the matter by the state government, the statement maintained that manipulation in the project by concerned authority in connivance with any other organization, individual and work agency will not be tolerated at any cost.
