Impulse NGO Network applauds State police

Impulse NGO Network has lauded the effort of the police and the authorities which led to the rescue of a large number of individuals, both male and female, who were being trafficked to South East Asian countries.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, Impulse NGO Network programme manager Emarine Kharbhih specifically lauded OC City PS, Ingocha, Tengnoupal SP Dr S Ibomcha and SDPO Sandeep Gopal as well as the State Government for ensuring the successful rescue operation.
Informing that a total of 183 individuals were rescued in the recent human trafficking bust, Emarine Kharbhih said that necessary verification is underway to' ascertain whether all the rescued individuals are Nepalese Nationals.
On the other hand, she claimed that reports have been received from the Customs office regarding 301 Nepalese women crossing the borders during the last few months and added that YMC Myanmar is currently investigating whether the said women are still in Myanmar.
