Medical camps organised

Imphal, July 29 2019:
Moltuk Battalion of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR with support and participation of district administration, Chandel organized medical counselling and health camps at the remote villages of Moltuk and Khangbarol yesterday.
The medical camps specifically aimed at ensuring a healthy family by ensuring health and hygiene of women in remotest areas.
The medical check-up was conducted by the Regimental Medical Officer along with Dr Vipasha Sharma, whom the unit had invited from Imphal on special request.
The camps were held in two phases.
The first phase was held at Moltuk village while the second phase was organised at Khangbarol.
The event was made possible with the assistance from district administration Chandel, which catered for the medicines and the participation of Aanganwadi volunteers who mobilised women and children in huge numbers to attend the camps.
A total of 200 civilians attended the camp including 88 villagers from Moltuk and 112 villagers from Khangbarol.
The local populace especially the women and children attended the camps in huge numbers.
The villagers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Moltuk Battalion for taking such welfare measures for remote villages of Chandel district.
