The Konthoujam Primary School's Co-ordinating Committee (KPSCC) has conveyed that the people of Konthoujam will never agree to the amalgamation of Konthoujam Primary School with Konthoujam Maning Tribal Primary School.
A press release issued by general secretary of KPSCC stated that Konthoujam Primary school is the oldest school in the Konthoujam area which has been running for 65 years with the availability of sufficient infrastructure including a proper campus and a good strength of students.
However, to combine both the schools at Konthoujam Maning Tribal Primary School, which is located at the far end of ten localities of Konthoujam, is condemnable.
The committee maintained that memorandum will be submitted to the authorities concerned to press the Government to revoke the order at the earliest.
It warned to launch intense agitations if the State Govt fail to hear the hear the pleas of the committee.
