Imphal, February 25 2017:
Communist Party of India (Marxist) has today released a 30-point election manifesto at CPI(M) office located at Governor Road.
CPI(M) secretary Salam Sarat said that apart of releasing election manifesto, CPI(M) along with other like minded parties have formed Left and Democratic Front (LDF) and fielded candidates in 53 ACs of which two are CPI(M) candidates.
If LDF gets to form the next Government, the first thing it will do is protect the territorial integrity of the State, Sarat said.
"CPI(M) is the only party which is against boundary demarcation.
Any State boundary of the country cannot be altered at any cost.
People of Manipur are aware of the fact that the Framework Agreement signed between the Indian Government and NSCN-IM is closely related to the Indo-Naga peace talks," Sarat said and alleged both the Congress party and BJP of not doing anything to end the economic blockade.
