Assam Rifles conduct training

Imphal, February 25 2017:
11 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) conducted a training on basic first aid at New Mongjang village, Chandel district yesterday.
A press release issued today by the PRO, HQ (South) stated that a total of 101 locals participated in the endeavour including 34 males, 44 females and 23 children.
Medical checkup and treatment was also given to 62 persons at the meet by the Chief Medical Officers of 11 Assam Rifles.
The training emphasized on the importance of first aid incase of emergency and the local populace appreciated the sincere efforts undertaken by the Assam Rifles in reaching out to the people living in remote villages, it added.
