Thoubal, September 25 2020: Heirok Youth Congress Committee (HYCC) has condemned the incident where some of its members were allegedly beaten by BJP workers, yesterday near Champrathong, Heirok.

The committee also condemned Heirok police for forcing its members to leave the place.

Speaking to media persons during a press meet held at its office, HYCC president M Tomthin said that two of its members sustained injuries.

He also claimed that Heirok police personnel who were posted there took no actions against the BJP workers, but forced youth congress's members to leave the area, instead.

"We strongly condemn the Heirok police for being 'biased' in performing duty," he added.
