Imphal, November 21 2013:
Terming the NDTV's report on her "honour killing" threat was a result of certain misunderstanding, Irom Chanu Sharmila appealed to the members of Just Peace Foundation not to file defamation suit against NDTV regarding the misleading report.
She was talking to media persons while she was being brought to produce before the court of JMIC Imphal East at Lamphelpat here today.
Sharmila further said that she has been on fast-unto-death for the last 13 years demanding the repeal of AFSPA.

People should support anti-AFSPA campaign and not sideline her in the campaign.
All must join hands together to voice against human rights violation in the State, she exhorted.
She also lauded the efforts of State Government for trying to boost the State's economy through organising Sangai Festival.
