Gone 24 years back, family searches for two brothers

Two brothers from a family in the sub-divisional hqtrs of Singngat headed for Shillong in 1989 in search of work along with some pieces of hand woven shawls to finance them but the brothers who parted ways in the past 24 years fails to contact the family prompting their elder brother to seek information on their whereabouts.
Thuamhnun, elder brother of the two who now remain untraced said ever since his brothers left home in 1989 they lost contact but for a brief period when one of them Thangzamang, now about 57 years, came home in 2005 .
He stayed for a few days and left us again saying that he works in the coal fields of Meghalaya.
'He too went blank ever since despite our request,' said Thuamhnun.
During his brief homecoming Thangzamang reportedly told his family that his younger brother Khawllianding, about 54 years, could be working in the mine fields of West Bengal.
Now that the information technology has revolutionise the world more than before, Thuamhunun pitched his hope of tracing his siblings through it.

It's time they now come home or I know something about them, that they are alive or dead, said the ageing and ignorant brother who now heads the family following the demise of their parents about a decade back.
KFC silver jubilee: The Khawvaiphei Film Company, which has to its credit nearly half a dozen films in multi-tribal dialects will be celebrating its silver jubilee at Kangvai, a village where the company was instituted in 1988 with MTDC Chairman T Manga Vaiphei as the chief guest.
KFC founder Chairman Kamlalmuan today said running a film company in a very limited market was the most challenging task the company has faced throughout its 25 years of existence.
He said the company wanted to make more films but was restricted by financial constraints.
Despite it he said with confidence that more films are on the company's menu.
