MSF volunteers inspect government schools

In continuation of its academic campaign 'Eikhoi Lairik Ningthina Tamsi', Manipur Students' Federation (MSF), Kshetrigao Branch inspected several government schools under Kshetrigao.
During the inspection at Kshetri Muslim Upper Primary Madrassa, Kshetri Bengoon Awang Leikai, volunteers of the students' union found the school running without its own building.
The school was found conducting its classes from the building of a local club.
The volunteers also gave to know that an amount of Rs two lakhs had been sanctioned under SSA in 2009-10 for construction of two additional class rooms of the school but the work was not executed.
The total number of the teachers in the school is 12 although the number of students enrolled is just 45 45.Out of this again, only 15 students were found studying.
The mid day meal scheme was also not served to the students.
Whereas during inspection at Noor Ali Primary School at Kshetri Mayai Leikai, the volunteers came across the school not conducting its classes even though the school office was found opened.
To the surprise of the inspection team, only one student was found coming to the school even though the total number of students registered in the school is 91 .
