New police OP at Komlakhong

As per the decision of the state government to open a new police outpost at Komlakhong under Mayang Imphal AC, MLA Kh Ratankumar inspected the proposed site of the construction of the outpost.
He was leading a team of government officials and media persons including an Executive Engineering of the Manipur Police Housing Corporation.
MLA Kh Ratankumar said that the state government is taking up various developmental programmes in the state for the welfare of the people.
The proposal of setting up a new police outpost at Komlakhong is also one of the developmental works of the state government.
For this purpose, government has acquired three acres of land from the villagers.
The total cost for the construction of the outpost is estimated to be ' 2 crore.
A Detail Project Report will be prepared soon in association with the MPHC and the same will be submitted to the state government for further necessary steps.
The new police outpost will cover a circumference of 23 km from Laphupat Tera under its jurisdiction.
This will help the local people of the area to live in peace.
Later Ratankumar also inspected other projects being taken up in the constituency.
He inspected the progress of the water supply plant being taken up at the Inspection Bungalow at Chingthi Hill which was constructed with a total cost of ' 2.5 crore.
The plant's construction work started on May 15 this year and it has a capacity of 2,16,000 litres.
Once finished the water supply plant will be able to provide adequate drinking water to Komlakhong and its surrounding villages.
He also inspected the progress of the RCC bridge being constructed on the Manipur River which will connect Komlakhong and Hiyanglam.
The bridge was constructed with a total cost of ' 11 crore.
He also told the people a sports complex will come up at Komlakhong very soon.
