Patriotic song competition

In connection with the 17th death anniversary of Arambam Samarendra, United People's Front (UPF) along with Artiste Training cum Educational Research Centre (ATRECT) will be organising a patriotic song competition at GM Hall on June 10 .
This was informed by UPF general secretary Nongthombam Rupachandra during a press meet held at the organisation's office located at Keishamthong Laishom Leirak Machin today.
He further informed that first, second and third-place winners of the competition will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 10,000, Rs 7,000 and Rs 5,000 along with a certificate respectively.
Winners of the fourth to ten positions will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 1000 and a certificate each, he maintained.
Rupachandra asserted that the patriotic song competition is being organised with an aim to imbibe patriotic feelings amongst the younger generation.
Elaborating that there is no age bar for participants of the competition, he said that one may obtain forms of the competition from the organisation's office from tomorrow.
The last date for submission of form is May 31 and admit card for participants will be issued from June 6, he added.
