URF announces launch of its valley operation

Strongly denouncing the current surrender policy of the government, the proscribed United Revolutionary Front (URF) has warned that anyone who surrenders to the government in the name of URF will be severely punished by the armed wing of URF, Manipur Army.
Therefore, it appealed to the parents and family members to take care of their wards, as the responsibility for any untoward incident has to be borne by the family members and themselves.
A statement issued today by Lanheiba Meitei, Chairman of URF asserted that the people of this land had not resorted to apology and submission since the very beginning.
Such things are not part of the URF rules and regulations, the statement added while warning all concerned not to associate with the puppets of the government who are going around to collect the retired URF cadres from their families by force or with gun point.

Announcing that the cadres of Manipur Army (armed wing of URF) would launch the valley operation called "Tampak Maikei Panglasi" (Lets go to the valley), the statement said the party is offering gratitude and revolutionary salute to all the revolutionary organizations of the hills and the valley which extended support to the operation. The statement warned all those who have been trapped under the influence of the enemies and who have been working hardly for their selfish ends that they should immediately retreat from their steps.
'The URF would mete punishment to them without any warning and any complaint from the family members will not be encouraged', it said.
If the government does not like to see unintended incidents from the side of the URF, it should return all the weaponry earlier submitted by the party, the statement reiterated.
It called upon the government not to design a new drama of surrender by creating another URF to effect the peace talks.
While drawing the attention of the ruling Congress party, the URF said it would launch attacks on the Congess party members.
Further the statement announced that Loyangamba Meitei will be the valley operation commander, while Lankhomba Meitei will be the Assistant Chief Central Finance who is entrusted the fund drive throughout the state.
The statement has also declared that URF's Anti-Corruption Cell will start attacking those contractors and officers who loot the public money in collusion with governemnt.
Lastly, the URF statement begged pardon for any misdeeds it acted on the people of this land.
