Speaking at the occasion, resource person Geetchandra Mangang said that most of the children without being aware of the consequences started taking harmful substances by imitating the way their elders and guardians consumed such intoxicants specially those parents who openly devour such health hazard stuff in front of their children and even those who send their wards to buy such substance.
He further said that nowadays it is hard to find couple who do not take one or other kind of unhealthy substance, either the mother is addicted to chewing tobacco pan or the father is a habitual drinker or both which is the main reason for their children to start taking such harmful products.
Therefore, it is very important for parents to shun all such bad habits first in order to have a healthy child so that they can become a succesful person in future.
