KCP (MC) leader Lanheiba held

Imphal, June 29 2011:
Guwahati Police on Tuesday arrested Lanheiba, leader of one KCP (MC) faction who is the prime accused in the Ragailong blast and two bomb attacks in the Raj Bhavan.
Lanheiba whose real name is Khwairakpam Gopendro (40) is also known as Brojen.
He is the son of Sangaijao from Keirenphabi Mamang Leikai in Bishnupur district.
A laptop, some mobile handsets and various documents of the UG group were recovered from his possession.
After his arrest, he did not disclose his identity to the Guwahati police.
Suspecting him of being Lanheiba, Guwahati police sent his photographs to Manipur police who confirmed his identity as Lanheiba of KCP (MC).
Manipur police had been searching for him since the few years related to various cases.
The Ragailong Blast for which the police holds him responsible took place in 2008 leaving 18 innocent people dead.
He also carried out bomb attacks twice at the Raj Bhavan Imphal.
Reliable sources hinted that he might be brought back to Imphal very soon.
However his case will be handled by the NIA.
Meanwhile, Tongbram Robindro (36) son of Tompok of Keirenphabi who is an accused in the seizure of Ephedrine worth ' 200 crore in Delhi on April 4 was arrested by Imphal West Police from his residence.
He was arrested following a request of Delhi Police Special Cell, said SP L Kailun.
A team of Delhi police will be arriving at Imphal soon to take Robindro to Delhi.
