108th birth anniversary of MK Priyabrata observed

Manipur Cultural Integration Conference observed the 108th birth anniversary of late Maharaj Kumar Priyabrata Singh at Government Dance College auditorium today.
The event was attended by Manipur Cultural Integration Conference president Aribam Brajakumar Sharma presided the event while Lalit Akademi Awardee Professor Thoidingjam Tombi attended as the chief guest and Manipur University Professor Paonam Gunindro as resource person.
As part of the ceremony, the dignitaries along with the people gathered for the event paid floral homage to the photo of Maharaj Kumar Priyabrata.
Professor Th Tombi, while speaking at the ceremony, said that Maharaj Kumar Priyabrata was a person with many passions and he worked with extreme concentration and dedication adding that he started painting from around the age of 7-8 years.
He maintained that a memorial lecture has been included among the list of programme this year.
Tombi said that Maharaj Kumar Priyabrata was a social activist and dealt political matters efficiently adding that he also worked towards strengthening the relation between the people of the hills and the valley.
Manipur University Professor Paonam Gunindro delivered a lecture on Maharaj Kumar Priyabrata's life and contributions.
