Stranded Manipuri people who would be brought back by special trains would be put in quarantine centres for a period of 14 days.
A high ranking official of the Health Department informed that Manipuri people stranded in different States who would be brought back by special trains would be compulsorily lodged in quarantine centres opened by the State Government and they would be under observation for a period of 14 days.
However, the evacuation exercise is awaiting Centre's advice as the number of Manipuri people stranded outside the State is quite large and there are many red zones on their way back to Manipur, said the official.
Meanwhile, the COVID-19 State Consultative Committee headed by the Chief Minister as chairman held a meeting this afternoon and decided to form district-wise committees comprising of DCs, CMOs and concerned MLAs to look after requirements of people who would be brought back by special trains.
