HSLC exam Day 1: Two expelled in Noney; peaceful at Moreh, Senapati

Noney, February 17 2020:
Out of 512 candidates enrolled for the High School Leaving Certificate examination, 503 candidates appeared and 9 were absents in Noney centres on a maiden day.
On the first day which was conducted for English subject in two centres, two candidates were reportedly expelled from Tengkonjang Higher Secondary centre at Longmai-3 for impersonation.
The other centre being Sharon English High School at Longmai (Noney) Bazar.
The roll numbers of the candidates expelled while verifying by a combined team of Students' Union & flying squad's team lead by Md Anwar Hussain are 15453 ( Thangal Govt High School) and 15262 (Lamdangmei Govt High School).
A flying squad's team lead by Deneschandra Haobijam, Lecturer, Model Hr Sec School, also inspected at the Sharon centre.
The students' organisation inspecting the examination at Noney centres are ZSUM, ZSULA & LSU.
They urged all the candidates not to practice unfair means in the exam to bring quality education in society.
Moreh: Alotegether 428 candidates appeared on the first day of the HSLC examination at two different centres of Moreh, today.
There is no report of expelling students or of any untoward incidents from the Moreh centres, Moreh Government Higher Secondary School and St George High School, Moreh.
For smooth conduct of the examination, CCTV cameras were installed at St George High School centre.
Moreh police provided security at the examination centres while volunteers of Kuki Student Organisation, Moreh Block took out inspection drive to ensure that unfair means are not used in the examination.
Senapati: 1,829 candidates appeared the High School Leaving Certificate examination, 2020 from Senapati district.
Examination centres are located at 7 different schools in the district.
224 candidates at Don Bosco Hr Sec, Maram; 268 at Mao Maram Hr Sec, Tadubi; 213 at Sardar Patel High School, Mao; 279 at Bethany Hr Sec, Senapati; 327 at Lao Radiant Hr Sec, Karong; 219 at Daikho Va School, Senapati and 299 at Purul Hr Sec, Purul.
Roll numbers ranging from 10001 to 11828 including 48264 are reportedly from Senapati district.
Flying squad teams from the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur (BOSEM) were reportedly stationed at each exam centres in the district.
Team of student bodies from the district also visited the exam centres for fair conduct of the exam.
All candidates except candidates opted for external subjects reportedly wrote the exam on the day.
Earlier, the Executive Member of ADC, Senapati had conveyed best wishes to the students appearing Class XII and Class X examination.
