Mass distribution of welfare schemes, materials mark 2nd phase of village mission

As part of the 'Go to Village' mission of the State Government, different camps were set up today at different villages covering 8 blocks in Churachandpur district under the aegis of Churachandpur district administration.
The camps were held today at Gouchinkhup Veng (CCpur block), Khengjang (Tuibong block), Samulamlan (Samulamlan block), Zalenphai (Singngat block), Chongkhozou (Henglep block), Gothol (Kangvai block), Songpeh (Sangaikot block), Tuilijang (Tuivai).
Sports & School materials, agriculture equipments like knapsack sprayer, garbage bags, wheelchairs, work order for construction of IHHL etc were distributed to the selected beneficiaries by different departments such as Education, Social Welfare, Medical, PHED, PWD, ADCC, Banks etc.
The district Medical dept also conducted immunisation and Diabetes and Hypertension screening camps.
Enrolment camps for availing various schemes under different departments including social security were also opened.
The camps will be held at different villages on every Tuesday.
District Administration Kakching has launched the Go to Village Mission for two more villages in the district today.
The mission was launched at Mairembam under Irengband Gram Panchayat and Nongmaikhong under Arong Nongmaikhong Gram Panchayat.
Highlighting the various schemes and achievements of the BJP led Government, Hiyanglam AC MLA Radheshyam Yumnam, at Nongmaikhong, said that the previous scheme-Go to Hills has brought hill people closer to the valley.
The scheme has helped strengthen the bond between the hills and the valley people, he said while highlighting the success of the scheme.
Go to Village Mission is introduced to deliver benefits of the various schemes it carries to the people at their doorsteps, he said.
The programme at Nongmaikhong Community Hall was attended by Hiyanglam AC MLA Dr Radheshyam Y, DC Kakching Neilenthang Telen, Pradhan of Arong Nongmaikhong GP N Ayingbi Devi and Up-Pradhan Th Indira Devi as dignitaries.
District Administration Thoubal too launched the mission at Leirongthel in Heirok, Charangpat under Wangkhem AC and Khongjom under Wangjing Tentha AC.
Edn Min, Th Radheshyam appealed the people to co-operate with the authorities and departments in various developmental projects and schemes while urging the Panchayat members to work with sincerity and wholeheartedly for the benefit of the local people.
The Minister further said that his assistance of Rs 1.5 lakh towards construction of houses from the MLA Local Area Development Fund will continue.
MLA P Brojen, BJP Thoubal district president L Deben, DC Thoubal H Rosita, Adakshya Thoubal Hassina Begum, SP Thoubal S Gautam and ZP members and Pradhans attended the programme.
Beneficiary cards and various welfare schemes were presented to a number of people today.
Meanwhile, district administration Bishnupur conducted three camps in three easily accessible villages namely Ithing, Naranseina and Kakyai from Moirang, Bishnupur and Nambol sub-divisions today.
Departmental stalls were opened and awareness campaigns on different schemes and programs were conducted by each department.
SDO/Moirang, SDO/Bishnupur and SDO/Nambol provided services at the camps at each villages.
Benefits under different Government schemes were also distributed to individual beneficiaries.
An event in connection with the village mission was organised by Tengnoupal district administration, Moreh Sub Division/ADC office at Sibong Khudenthabi village community hall.
ADC Moreh N Bankim, SDPO Moreh police Sandip Gopaldash, 12 AR Khudengthabi post Major Sandeep and other Dept officials were present in the event.
Khudengthabi chief appealed the authorities to convert the sole lower primary school of the village into a high school and set up a PHC in the village and also to provide fresh water under the Govt's water supply scheme.
Chief Ministergi Hakshelgi Tengbang cards, books, old age pension, LPG connection, saplings, seeds, etc were provided under respective departments to the beneficiaries.
Jiri: The second round of Go to village for Jiribam district was held at Jiribam Municipal Council (JMC) auditorium hall by JMC.
Jiribam AC MLA Md Ashab Uddin, JMC Chairperson S Shanti Devi and DC Robert attended the event in which JMC best workers were awarded with simple gifts.
On the other hand, e-rickshaw was launched to mark the second phase of the mission in the district.
