Education campaign continues

Persevering with its campaign to protect sanctity of educational institutions, Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur (Desam) today carried out poster campaign at Ghanapriya Women's College.
Today's poster campaign is a component of the student body's movement to make 'Education a disturbance free zone' .
Speaking to mediapersons on the sidelines of the campaign, Desam president Wangmayum Islauddin affirmed that concerted efforts are needed to streamline the education system in Manipur and put it back on the track so that the future generation do not suffer from lack of educational opportunities like their predecessors had to endure.
While the poster campaign will continue till July 4 mass rallies on the same issue are being planned for July 5 at different locations, informed the president appealing to all concerned to refrain from calling bandh or imposing strike on the day of the rally.
As announced earlier the rallies cum meeting would be held at THAU Ground, Thangmeiband for Imphal East and West districts, from Chaoyaima Higher Secondary School ground, Thoubal to BASU Ground, Khangabok and from Bishnupur Mini Stadium to SLO Ground located Bishnupur Ward No.11 .
