PPE items for bus drivers handed over to TDC

Jiribam, May 24 2020:
The vice chairman of Manipur Food Industries Corporation Limited, Manipur, K Sarat Kumar Singh handed over 500 local made face masks, hand-sanitizers and handgloves to the Transporter and Driver Council (TDC) at MSRTC office complex in Moirangkhom to be distributed to the bus drivers ferrying returnees arriving from Jiribam.
Joint Director of MSRTC, Delina Laishram was also part of the programme.
Speaking to media persons, K Sarat Kumar said that on hearing that the bus drivers who are working tirelessly day and night to bring back the Manipuri returnees are running short of face masks, 20ltrs of hand-sanitizer donated by Khundrakpham Chinglen, along with 500 masks and hand gloves were handed over for their use.
The Jiri United Committee (JUC), Jiribam has given assurance to look after the needs of the drivers and added that the Committee is also in consultance with the DC to resolve the problems faced by them.
ACODOM and NKCLLM provide lunch to inmates of Moreh CQCs
All Community Development Organisation Moreh (ACODOM) in association with Nupi Khunai Chaokhat Lamjing Lup Moreh (NKCLLM) served lunch to the 61 inmates of the 6 quarantine centres opened in Moreh.
Member of Autonomous District Council Chandel Chinneivah and Moreh Addl Deputy Commisioner L Manikanta along with Moreh Hospital staff were also part of the programme.
