All 60 MLAs in state likely to vote for Pranab

The Presidential election which is going to be held all over the country tomorrow from 10 am to 5 pm will also be carried out in the State at the Committee room of State Legislative Assembly.
All the 60 MLAs of the state are likely to vote in favour of Pranab Mukherjee, the UPA candidate for Presidential election.
All the 60 MLAs and the three MPs of the state would be casting their votes.
The 60 MLAs include 42 Congress MLAs, 7 Trinamool Congress MLAs, 5 MSCP MLAs, 4 NPF MLAs and one MLA each from NCP and Lok Janshakti Party.
The value of a vote of an MLA of the State is 18.Since there are 60 MLAs in the state, the total vote value from the state will be 1080.The value of the votes of the three MPs of the state is 708.All necessary security arrangements in and around the polling station have been made.
In connection with the Presidential elections, election Observer Anup Chandra Pandey arrived here today.
Upon his arrival, Pandey personally went to inspect the arrangements being made at the Assembly Secretariat where voting would be carried out.
It may be mentioned that Chief Minister O Ibobi convened a meeting of the Congress Legislators and asked them to vote for Pranab Mukherjee.
Speaking to Hueiyen Lanpao, W Mani, President of MSCP, said that Pranab Mukherjee is a matured and experienced politician and so the party has decided to vote for him.
Dikho, leader of the Legislature Wing, NPF also informed that since the Party High Command had decided to vote for Pranab Mukherjee and support UPA government at the Centre, all the NPF MLAs of the state would vote for him.
MLA Laishom Ibomcha, who is the President of NCP, Manipur State Unit, also said that he would vote for Pranab Mukherjee as it was the wish of the Party's High Command.
Same is the case with Lok Janshakti party.
