PFA intensifies '2nd Greet our Guest' drive

With migratory birds started arriving in Manipur, People For Animals (PFA), Thoubal has intensified its '2nd Greet Our Guest' campaign.
As part of the campaign, members of PFA Thoubal raided Lousipat area in Khongjom and collected about seven Nampak Langs (bird nets) which were found spread on paddy fields.
The PFA members also came across fresh bird feathers under these nets, indicating recent activities of trapping of birds in the paddy field.
Issuing a statement in this regard, Managing Trustee of PFA Thoubal L Bishwajeet Meitei informed that with migratory birds started arriving in Manipur, the organisation have alerted all its informers across the State.
Warning that PFA would not spare any poacher or hunter, Bishwajeet said that anyone or agencies who help in arresting poachers or hunters would be given some percentage of the fine imposed on the defaulters in accordance to the Wild Life Protection Acts.
He also apealed to all all to protect and greet the feathered guests.
