Losii Dikho inaugurates NWU office building at Senapati

Senapati, December 07 2019:
PHED Minister has inaugurated the new office building of the Naga Women's Union (NWU) at Old Monday Market, Senapati, today.
The inaugural programme was conducted in the presence of officials from UNC, ANSAM, NPO, SDSA, tribe presidents and women leaders from NWU.
Rev Fr Thomas Bobby, VC, Director, Divine Glory Prayer Centre, Senapati administered blessing for the new building.
Irish Thangal, building committee of the union in her welcome address stated that the construction took place with the support and generous contributions from well-wishers including the Chief Minister of the State, PHED Minister, Tribal Affairs & Hills Minister, and different donors.
Asha Wungnam, president, Naga Women's Union thanked the Katomlui for donating the land.
Though the land may be small, it is a big landmark for NWU to have received the site, she maintained.
She also expressed gratitude to all generous donors for their contribution.
Peter, Chairman, Katomlui in his speech stated that that land was donated to them as the Naga Women's Union doesn't have a building of their own.
PHED Minister Losii Dikho also spoke at the event and urged the volunteers of NWO to work for the betterment of the people of the region.
