Mega free medical camp for flood victims held

Numerous people are still facing wrath of the recent flood even though water levels have steadily decreased in many areas of the State including Bishnupur district .
A mega free medical camp was conducted for the flood victims of Moirang AC, who still today remain vulnerable to the rise of endemic diseases in various areas of Manipur .
The camp was organised at Moirang Lamkhai Khoyol bazar by Shija Hospital and research Institute, Langol in collaboration with Moirang Kendra progressive Front under the guidance of Moirang Kendra Social Worker Thongam Shanti Singh .
Paediatrician, Ophthalmologist and Medicine, Gynaecologist, general surgery, ENT, Chest, Dental specialists attended to a total of around 1500 people at the camp and medicines were also distributed for free .
Speaking to our correspondent, Th Shanti Singh stated that the camp was organised as a supplement to the initiative taken by the State Government for the flood victims of the State and also to ease the hardship faced by the people of the area .
He lauded PDA Chairman as well as MLA of Thanga AC T Robindro and Moirang Municipal Council Chairperson and Councillors for agreeing to provide the venue for the camp.
