Noney, July 05 2017: The Nungba Kendra Citizens' Forum (NKCF) has expressed strong resentment over the confusion as well as the hardship faced by the inhabitants of Nungba AC and its surrounding villages after the creation of the Longmai (Noney) district .

A press release issued by secretary of NKCF asserts that whenever the locals tried to highlight their issues at Noney , they were advised to go to Tamenglong and vice versa .

Expressing disappointment over the lack of infrastructures at Noney, it stated that there is no proper office for the Deputy Commissioner of Noney and added that no fund have been allotted nor taken up any developmental projects till date .

The matter of which office of which district to approach for any queries has confused the people and any developmental works or projects for the welfare of the new district have been delayed, it added .

The Forum has sought an immediate attention of the State Government to look into the matter and redress the grievances of the people at the earliest,
The Forum further stated that it will not remain a mere spectator and will be compelled to launch different forms of agitation if the State Government ignores the grievances of the people.
