Kakching, July 05 2017:
The office of Nungba Area Joint Action Committee (NA-JAC) has sought the attention of the Health Department regarding the facilities and functioning of CHC, Nungba .
A press release issued by secretary of NA-JAC stated that in defiance of the assurance letter from Director of Health and Services on June 12, the CMO of Tamenglong served a release order to Dr Markandev without the knowledge of NA-JAC and the State Government has failed to meet the basic requirements of CHC, Nungba despite several demands to fulfil proper requirements of the CHC .
It can be recalled that NA-JAC has demanded regular transfer of posting of at least 10 doctors out of 19 sanctioned posts at the CHC, immediate arrangement of equipments like Ultra Sound and X-Ray technicians on regular postings, regular transfer of posting of Dr Tiankulung Kamei from Tousem to Nungba CHC, installation and full functioning of blood bank, operation theatre and Trauma centres and to provide other required staff and facilities .
NA-JAC has strongly urged the State Government and the Health Department to do the needful within July 12 .
Failing to meet the demands of the Committee will lead to mass protest and launching ‘complete blockade’ of any vehicular movement along NH 37 from the midnight of July 12, it warned and added that the Government will be held responsible for any consequences of the agitation.
