DCC task force takes man for Home Quarantine, educate others

With some individuals who have completed their 14 days quarantine period at the institutional quarantine facility run by the district administration of Pherzawl district at Engedi Retreat Centre, Geljang village, the COVID-19 Task force of Tuivai DCC has taken the onus to drop those hailing from their area.
The COVID -19 Task Force has accordingly dropped an individual at Khuanggin village located close to the Mizoram border today.
They have also met the CSOs, VA members and Church leaders and brief them on the need to sustain the home quarantine exercise for another 14 days.
The local ADC member Langkhanpau said that the initiative was taken to ensure that the family as well as the villagers understand the purpose of the home quarantine as well as to avoid any form of stigmatization on the individuals.
We have to ensure social acceptance but at the same time strictly enforced the protocol for home quarantine for the good of all, he added.
Rice, dal, cooking oil, onion along with several other supplies including, hand sanitisers, gloves, face masks and disinfectant to sustain the home quarantine period are also given to the family.
