Moreh, May 27 2020:
The Hill Tribal Council (HTC), Moreh, Kuki Students' Organisation, Moreh Block, Kuki Women Union & Human Rights, Moreh, Moreh Youth Club and Anti-Drug Abuse Campaign Committee (ADACC), Moreh have strongly condemned Additional SP NAB Th Brinda for allegedly displaying 'rowdy' behaviour in the Court and posting 'derogatory' comment against the judiciary on Facebook.
Accusing Th Brinda of 'personally' targeting Lhukhosei Zou, a joint statement of the organisations said that allegedly declaring the accused as 'drug lord' is premature and exposed that she (Th Brinda) has already passed her own verdict in the case without respecting or waiting for the verdict of the judiciary of the land.
The organisations appealed all to respect judicial system of the country and refrain from interfering in its smooth functioning.
"Let the law take its own course, the accused be given a fair trial and the guilty be punished as per law of the land in the interest of the law abiding citizens of Manipur," said the organisations adding any interference by any individual, group, organisation etc will invite serious agitation.
