More turn up to support fight against COVID-19

Imphal, May 27 2020:
Shri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation Manipur has started donating 210 packets of food for lunch and dinner to the food bank of Imphal East DC from today, for migrant workers staying in Telipati area in Imphal.
The organisation had previously donated a total of 1200 vegetarian food packets (200 per day for 6 days) to the Superintendent of JNIMS Hospital for the patients and another 1500 packets to food bank of DC Imphal East, the press release stated.
The food packets are prepared in the Community Kitchen set up by the organisation in a hygienic manner.
During 6 days period, a total of 2520 packets of food besides breakfast items, will be donated, it added.

The monetary assistance was handed over to Yaishkul AC MLA Th Satyabrata Singh.
On the other hand, Dr Wahengbam Robindro, Head of Department, Biotechnology of SK Women's College, Nambol Kongkhampat gifted face shields and hand sanitizers to All Bishnupur District Working Journalist Union for distribution to its members and to doctors and nurses stationed at Utlou High School who are working amid the lockdown.
Kumbi College Students Union also distributed face masks to the populace of Borayangbi village under Kumbi AC .

The team distributed the medical items in many different locations such as Tera Bazar, RIMS crossing, Kwakeithel Bazar, Khuyathong crossing and Chingmeirong crossing to many publics and police personnel posted at the mentioned locations.
Speaking to media persons, Moonson Organisation and Moonsoon Band general secretary Netrajit Ningthoujam stated that the State government and public reacted sharply when a first positive case of COVID-19 was reported in Manipur.
However, it seems that the State Government and the public are not too serious about the present scenario, he said and added Moonson Organisation and Moonsoon Band came up with the idea of giving free medical equipment to the public and security personnel as a means to stay away from the COVID-19 infection.
He also appeals to everyone to be very careful so as to contain the spread of the deadly disease.
