AMUCO gears up for youth camps

Imphal, December 24 2014 : The All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO) has geared up for a series of youth leadership residential camps starting from December 28 .

Speaking to media persons at their Kwakeithel office today, AMUCO president Dr Y Mani Khuman said that youngsters would be training on leadership qualities at the residential camps.

The residential camps would also make vigorous attempt to reverse moral degeneration and diminishing cultural values among youngsters.

AMUCO is planning to hold the residential camps in two phases across the State.

The first phase would be confined to the valley districts in association with local clubs which have been working together with AMUCO.

For Imphal East district, the Imphal East United Clubs' Organisation would host the youth leadership residential camp at Khuman Lampak Kangshang from December 28 to 30.The All Thoubal District United Clubs' Organisation would organise a similar camp at Universal College, Yairipok from January 7 to 9 next year.

Western All Clubs' Association would host the camp for Imphal West district at Manipur University from January 10 to 12.For Bishnupur district, the camp would be held at Kumbi College under the aegis of the United Clubs' Organisation of Bishnupur.

AMUCO advisor KT Rehaman who also present at the press meet said that the leadership camp is an attempt to inform the youth about misgovernance and all the wants prevalent in Manipur.

Informing that the camps would feature lectures by many resource persons and experts in different fields, AMUCO convenor W Gonendro exuded that these camps would foster closer ties among different communities of the State.

On behalf of AMUCO, he conveyed best greetings to all the Christian people of Manipur on the occasion of Christmas.
