Aadhaar enrolment awareness meeting

Senapati, May 15 2017:
As part of the State Government's initiatives to organize mass Aadhaar enrollment, an 'Aadhaar enrolment awareness meeting' was organized by the Senapati district administration at the Indoor Stadium, Senapati town.
The enrollment meeting was held in the presence of PHED Minister L Dikho and Tribal Affairs Minister N Kayisii along with Autonomous District Council (ADC) Chairman ML Markson, Vice-Chairman John Hingba, ADC Members, Deputy Commissioner Athem Muivah, SDOs, BLOs, Headmasters/Headmistress, village authorities, civil bodies, women and youth leaders.
The PHED Minister stated that Aadhaar enrollment process is a step to bring peace and development together, a campaign to root-out corruption and control illegal immigration and fight external elements.
TD/Hills & Fisheries Minister N Kayisii said that the recent cabinet meeting resolved to grant a grace period of two months for those who have not yet enrolled for Aadhaar as no developmental projects and schemes will be entitled without Aadhaar identity cards.
