Imphal, April 28 2010:
If the Government can make appointment to huge number of new vacancies, why it is not able to implement the 6th Pay in toto, asked JAC AMTUC-AMGEO.
The JAC said that the State Government must implement the 6th Pay Commission by hook or by crook.
Maintaining that the current financial situation being faced by the State Government is due to its faulty policy, a press release of the JAC said that the employees must not bear the brunt of Government's faulty policy.
The JAC alleged that the Government appointed 2000 more employees from the stipulated number submitted to the Central Government under the 13th Finance Commission.
Apart from this excess number of employees, the JAC said, the Government has recently declared the results of Primary teachers of District Council.
The Government is also planning to appoint new women police personnel, huge number of ASI, SI and Jamandar, it added.
Expressing resentment over the arrest of JAC leaders, the press release suggested the police personnel not to hunt the JAC members.
It added that the members would come themselves to fill up the jail soon.
